SACRED SOLSTICE Celebration of Medicine & Music with Manari Ushigua and Jaleh

Sebastopol is blessed by the appearance of world renowned shaman, forest-defender and political leader Manari Ushigua as he brings the spirit of the Amazon to Soft Medicine Sanctuary for one very special night of Medicine & Music. Alongside San Francisco's dearest powerhouse singer and mystic Jaleh,  he will be sharing an intimate Tobacco ceremony and his sacred Icaros to call upon the healing spirit of the Amazon so that our hearts may align with the new energy on Earth.  Jaleh will be opening the evening with a Cacao Ceremony and closing with a reiki-infused concert of Medicine Music inspired by her time with Manari in the Sapara community.

The sacred plant of tobacco, also known as Jauneka, has been used for thousands of years by indigenous people such as the Sápara. The medicine is inhaled through the nose, then we will be guided by Manari with traditional Icaros, as he connects with the spirit of the medicine and rainforest. The tobacco medicine invites you into a deep state of meditation that can liberate many emotions and parts of our unconscious mind.

Manari Ushigua is a traditional healer, political and spiritual leader of the Sápara Nation in the Ecuadorian Amazon. He has been an integral part of the indigenous movement in Ecuador since 1999, defending the forest and raising awareness about the threat to his homeland.

Jaleh is the San Francisco songstress, weaving in magic and mysticism into her music and ceremony. She has toured around the world with her two bands Royal Jelly Jive and The Spells and is now exploring ways to use her voice and songs in service to Mother Earth as an instrument of love and illumination.
